Snorkeling in Cozumel

We went to Cozumel as three generations of a family, twelve of us in all. The most popular activity, that all twelve could agree on (besides the buffet) was snorkeling. We could view sea creatures in the waters right off the beach. I bought an $11 disposable underwater camera in Madison so I could take photos of what I saw. Here are the fishies!

We had the chance to go snorkeling on the reef from a boat. One area was full of starfish.

All the beautiful fish were real generation-spanning crowd pleasers. The Mexican government is taking care to protect the reefs for the future. Tourists are charged a fee to promote the reefs’ recovery. I plan to snorkel again. I’m hooked.

    1. Hope you can too. It’s lovely and relaxing. We had our honeymoon on Puerto Rico. Beautiful island. The last photo on this post is me in my wetsuit with a disposable underwater camera in hand.
