What’s Blooming Now?

As Wisconsin summer wanes; flowers change. Here are spots of color from our garden.

Pinks; Butterfly-Created Phlox Variety; Sycamore Tussock Caterpillar

Flowers, bugs, and butterflies abound.

  1. What a garden! My echinacea and balloon flowers are coming to the end. Asters are getting ready for their fall show. Could that be a black swallowtail?

    1. It’s good to have a healthy respect for bees. I find they ignore me generally, hard at work. Wasps are the hotheaded ones, where I find they’ll sting me if I get in their meter squared sized space.
