The honest truth works best. Perhaps, color would serve best as it provides us with all of the nuances of communication.

Thank you for your philosophical answer, Rosaliene! I was hoping for one or two of those. 🙂 I’m with you, honesty with nuances of expression. Rebecca

Adaptive communication maybe? depending on the audience, the topic, the mood. (Worked at Ogilvy & Mather for a while).
Of all three oix, the B&W is the best. B&W simplifies, carries the main message.

Interesting, please say more about adaptive communication

I simply mean that you should adapt to your audience. Presenting the same Market research results to junior product managers is not the same as the Chief Marketing Officer, or in some rare cases, the CEO. Data is the same, just need to adapt your communication to your audience. As an aside the best presentations I have always made were to a great audience. If you present to morons, well… ain’t the same result. 😉

I looked up the phrase adaptive communication and found very interesting work about personality types by Taibi Kahler – the Process Communication Model; imaginer, promoter, rebel, harmonizer, thinker, persister. According to his theory we are a combination of all six in differing degrees. Thanks for steering me in that direction! -Rebecca

Yes, I guess he’s figured out how to tailor communication according to people’s priorities; people, facts, fun, etc.

Thinker, persister and imaginer are all strong in my personality. I’d like to see more details. Hmm, that sounds like an imaginer… : )

The thinker is thinking about it? 😉 I could always take the class to find out, if it didn’t cost as much as a high performance canoe!

LOL. That sounds expensive.
