I’m dreaming of sitting in the audience listening to live music at the Wisconsin Union Theater. More cowbell please, I mean it! 😉 Take a listen to the short video for a taste of the Brazilian sound of the great warm up band I heard in November of 2019, LADAMA.
A close friend and I went to a concert which brightened up November of last winter. Fun to think of it now, at home listening to La Movida the local Latino music station, when there are no live music venues to be found. The evening of the concert, LADAMA and Las Cafeteras were such vibrant musical performers. The air sizzled with their outstanding Latin rhythms. Each instrument, each voice displayed a mastery that contributed to the amazing tapestry of sound.
Las Cafeteras are like a cross between Richie Valens (La Bamba) and the B-52s. Their harmonies and rhythms transported me to warmer climes on a cold night. I look forward to concerts when we can attend them in person again. Perhaps next year.
What kind of music do you like?
Gracias for visiting Fake Flamenco! I appreciate your likes and comments. ¡Olé! –Rebecca
