We love our local Venezuelan restaurant for its tasty take out food. We are happy to eat it up once a week.
La Taguara serves arepas, which are like puffed corn pitas, great for gluten-free diets and wonderful for sandwiches. They also feature empanadas, which are a bit like Cornish pasties. Fried yucca is a great substitute for French fries, especially with guasacaca sauce! Guasacaca has onion, parsley, cilantro, avocado and more. Have you tried Venezuelan food?

No, I never have. I’d need to make it myself, which would mean finding recipes. Provincial England is not the best place to sample such goodies. I’d love to!

Thanks. And I remember now. My daughter, the one who lives in Barcelona, took us to a great Venezuelan place once. Really spit-and -sawdust, but great food. We had such a good time.

Cool to know that Barcelona has Venezuelan food. The food is good already there, so extra star.

There’s such a lot of Latino food. It’s been fun exploring with Em and Miquel.

Yes, I’ve heard her cafe is the best in her village. More Michelin stars than anyone in 100 km. ; )

Not sure how many Venezuelan eateries you’ll find in Cork! I bet your dad could make an awesome sauce, since he makes yummy curry.
