Fake Flamenco 
We’re lucky. No forests near us, but many typically English woodlands of oak, beech, birch, ash and so on, often with our local river coursing through them. And birds of course. Homes for so many birds. When a tree falls in our woods, you can be sure it will be heard

I’ve heard various versions of this over the years, such as:
— If a man speaks in the woods and no woman is there to hear him, is he still wrong?
— If a tree falls in the forest and Fox News isn’t there to film it, is it still Obama’s fault?
I’m sure there have been more.

Trees communicate with each other, through their root system. I would argue that many “heard” it, or rather, felt it, even if there was no human present. Great photo!

I like to walk in the woods! I like farran woods, which is near where I live, its so cool and lots of trails to walk!

I love the fresh air and the bird sounds in the woods. Farran Woods sounds wonderful.

We have many wooded conservation areas in our town, but we’re going to need a few more warm days before I know I can walk there without falling on the ice.

Just back from walking in the Cherokee Marsh Natural Resource Area, which is right by my house. There’s also parking off River Road. Definitely a favorite.
