We cut these flowers from the backyard this weekend; my Bright Square for 14 April.

The daffodils were plentiful this year! My Bright Squares for 15 and 16 April:

Lovely! Our daffodils are almost over, although I’m waiting for 2 tubs of double daffidils I planted last October to do something…..

Thank you, Kim. Perhaps they are late blooming daffodils. We have a couple kinds that are beginning to bloom just now. Do yours have greenery already?

Sounds like they’ll be blooming within a week to ten days. Something to look forward to!

Beautiful daffodils, Rebecca! The azaleas in our yard are brightening my life this week. I don’t think they’ve every been so pretty. They must have liked the wet winter that I didn’t like so much. LOL!

Thank you, Janet. Azaleas, nice! What color(s) are they? I think it’s a distinct possibility that the plants like the winters wetter than we do! ; )

Our daffodils are nearly over. But that means that so many other flowers will soon be with us. Summer’s on its way!

Hello Margaret, yes that’s a great way to look at it. Tulips are next, and summer is right around the corner.

Thanks, Carol Anne. I can see why the Greek stories picked this flower for the man who was vain and fell in love with his own reflection. : )
