Daffodil with a Dramatic Entrance

This is a flower with carefully painted features, or so it seems. He’s the final daffodil in a month long parade.

Botanists think this may be the variety that was featured in the Greek myth of Narcissus. He fell in love with the reflection of himself, then the gods changed him into a flower on the bank of the river. This is my favorite type of narcissus, because of the unique center. Do you have a favorite?
