I entered the Madison Metro Bus Lines Poetry Contest this year. The theme was “Looking forward. How we will celebrate when we can be together again in community.” Three of my haiku poems were selected as finalists! This yearly contest is hosted by the Madison Poet Laureate, the Madison Arts Commission, Madison Metro and Edgewood College. See all the finalists on the Madison Metro Website.
I’m honored to be included among the finalists. I hope to get to the events described in the poems this summer, photos to come when we do!
