Today I gave away 40 aster plants. Wait, don’t worry. They are liberal self-seeders, the birds help spread them too, and I have plenty plenty more. Purple asters are butterfly and bee favorites.

They are beautiful flowers. I’ve just checked online and learned that the Aster chilensis is native to California. I’m going to add them to my succulent garden. Thanks for sharing 🙂
