I saw these marigolds on a walk and loved their orangey red petals with yellow edges. A few of the flowers are past their glory days and have gone to seed. All the better to plant more for next year.

These are lovely – so vibrant. I planted lots of marigold seeds this year, but only three of them managed to produced a very poor little flower. I’m hoping for better luck next year.

I was lucky, my mom bought me four plants and all but one did well. I might look for this variety next year!

What a dear cat. Marigolds are traditional Mexican Day of the Dead flowers for those who have passed on.

I never knew that, thank you for sharing. I will think of him and others even more now when I sow my marigolds each year

Have you seen the animated movie Coco? I recommend it. Good movie and great Mexican culture references, like marigolds decorating gravestones.

I really got into marigolds when I realized they could be used to discouraged unfriendly insects in a garden.

They are wonderful that way, it’s true! They deter some rodents, not all….
