That’s right, Kim! My mind short circuited when I saw them and all I could do was point. Ha ha.

Día de los Muertos has become a huge trend in recent years not just in other countries like the US and Canada, but I’ve also seen it transcend to parts of Europe. Must be the colorful and vibrant tradition which gives an excuse to party! Hope you have a wonderful Halloween (and Día de los Muertos)!

Thank you, you too! Great comment, Rebecca. Thanks for sharing your experience from your travels. I think this new syncretism of celebrations may bring Halloween back to its roots of All Hallow’s Eve. Día de los Muertos is a commemorative time of year for me, looking back at those who have passed. I make gravestones from paperboard to decorate our yard and commemorate the souls who were doing important work for the planet and their fellow humans. I’ll present my list my Tuesday post.

I doubt if it’s Día de los Muertos in their mind. Just Hallowe’en style decorations. This is an American tradition that’s spread to Europe big Time over the last few years.

Could be, Margaret. I didn’t ring the doorbell to ask. 😉 I liked how it was slightly subversive of the cheery garden gnome trope. Thanks for your comments.

. I’m not a big fan of most lawn ornaments, but I must admit I’ve never seen anything like that before. 🙂

I love the idea of Gnomes having their own Day of the Dead, although also somewhat unnerved!
