You and I
Take turns holding
Open doors for each other
Come on in dear friend my house is yours

At the elevator door of friendship
Belly full of laughter overflows
Life asks us
Going up?

Tu y yo
Alternamos abriendo
Puertas una para la otra
Pasa amiga querida estás en casa
Estamos unidas
En la puerta de ascensor de la amistad
Barrigas llenas de risa que se derrama
La vida nos pregunta
¿Subirán?

This is an interesting challenge, Rebecca. I’m not much of a poet, but I enjoy reading poetry, and I like your take on the challenge and I appreciate your including this in Thursday Doors. In many ways, the Thursday Doors community of door lovers supports each other by finding, sharing, viewing and encouraging others.

Thanks, Dan. Hope you’ll return for the poems in two weeks. I have enjoyed seeing the Thursday door photos of our overlapping blogging friends for a couple of years now. I admire the supportive community you’ve created. I stopped by your site earlier and checked out all the photos with links that I could find, and left likes on many and comments on a few. Thanks!

Wow, people move on fast. At the end of this month I’ll reach 6 years! You’ll find more bloggie friends 🙂

I’m not finding any new blogging friends 🤭
I don’t have patience and time to invest in new sites.
Plus I need to show interest in people’s work 🤭
These days I’m connecting with only actual bloggers who are passionate
2.5 years for me btw

I had often heard
the time worn expression
a friend and a lover,
imagined what it would
be like to find one person
to fill both roles until
I found the one,
she who was both
and more and she
willingly added the title
of wife to the list .

Beautiful doors …
Lovely poem …
And friendship is a great prompt …
Here’s mine …
Friends, like sunbeams in a playful dance,
Skipping through moments, a wild chance …
In laughter’s rhythm, our tales unfurl,
Crazy adventures, our friendship swirl …
In shared laughter, joy takes flight,
Friends gather ‘neath the warm sunlight …
Happy moments, a treasure so rare,
Together we weave memories to wear …
Thank you ♥️
