Two weeks ago we had our last big hike of the summer. The prairie was lush with blooms. I may not have the complete floral alphabet, but I do have stray flowers up my sleeves as any child magician of yore.

How’s your weekend?

My weekend was fine
Talking about Sunday
Day’s first half went with something I love
And other half went with something my father love.

I would love to hike on the prairie — I love Willa Cathers novels set there , especially My Antonia.

Thank for your comments, Kim. Yes, Willa Cathers novels are fabulous. Thanks for reminding me of the prairie component.

Hiking in the prairie part of the country is certainly very novel to me, as it’s nothing but desert here in southern California. Glad you got to have a beautiful, one last hike at the end of summer! My weekend was a busy, but fun one filled with friends and my partner. Hope you have a good rest of your weekend!
